About Heidi

Heidi Marks received her Reflexology Certificate from the Seattle Reflexology and Massage Center, and is working toward additional national certification through the American Reflexology Certification Board. She became a "Registered Reflexologist" in Washington state in 2016, and is a member of the Washington Reflexology Association and Oregon Reflexology Network. Heidi became involved in reflexology as a way to transition to an energetically-rewarding health career after retirement, so currently hours of practice are limited until retirement is reached.

Heidi has taken advanced reflexology training workshops from internationally-acclaimed instructors: Ayurvedic Reflexology with Sharon Stathis from Australia; Vertical Reflexology with Lynne Booth from England; Touchpoint Reflexology with Dorte Krogsgaard and Peter Lund Frandsen from Denmark; and Bill Flocco of the USA.

Heidi's interest in reflexology stems from her interest in complementary and alternative medicine, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a love of footwear (hello Imelda!), a past life as a shoe maker to French royalty (well, just guessing), and having experienced the profound effects of reflexology upon her own tired feet.

Heidi is a continuing Certificate student at Bastyr University in Aromatherapy, and has taken graduate classes from the American College of Healthcare Sciences. Heidi also has been trained in Healing Touch and Reiki, and is registered yoga teacher providing classes in the Raja Yoga tradition, which emphasizes the harmony of body, mind and spirit for self-realization.

With degrees in both Chemistry and Environmental Design, Heidi works full-time as a food safety professional. She is also the founder and publisher at Arago Press -- a body|mind|spirit publishing house -- and has edited and produced three award-winning and best-selling books on the side of her day job! Heidi is married to a spiritual evidential Medium who writes and researches about the eternal nature of consciousness, and they have two handsome and intelligent cat-children.

A junkie for continuing education, Heidi seeks to continue to expand her knowledge about and incorporate elements of Ayurveda, TCM meridian theory, Reiki, aromatherapy, and the quantum power of flower essences into her reflexology practice.

And, as one who holds her stress in her digestive tract, Heidi is especially interested in researching the application of reflexology for supporting gastrointestinal and pelvic wellness, and especially welcomes clients who seek support for those reasons.
